Odu of the year 2008-2009
Oturupon-Otura (Oturupon nt'ewure)
1. Ifa forsees victory over adversary for all Ifa practioners this year. Ifa says there is a lot of opposition in the
lives and works of many Ifa Practioners all over the world. Ifa however not only assures them of victory over adversary but
also long life.
2. Ifa assures its devotees that all those who are waging war and raising contentious issues against others shall be sanctioned.
For this reason, all Ifa devotees must not raise uncomplimentary or unsubstantiated issues or level frivolous allegations
against other people.
3. Ifa warns all groups to be very careful this year because of 5 evil principalities that will be moving from one group
to another trying to snuff out the life of important members of the group. Offerings need to be made as soon as possible to
prevent highly placed people from experiencing premature death.
4. Ifa says it forsees the Ire of many children for Ifa devotees this year. Ifa assures that the way will be open for
our women who are looking up to Olodumare for fruit of the womb to receive their blessings this year. Ifa however warns couples
to be eating healthy. Health should be a priority before fashion, looking good, smelling good, etc.. In fact, Ifa says that
all those looking to have children this year should make sure they eat first before bathing.
5. Ifa says there is the need for all Ifa communities to investigate and find out what woman among them, who is fair in
complexion, is being threatened by death. Ifa says that once this woman has been identified, she must not bathe for seven
consecutive days. If this step is taken, the woman will definitely be spared from experiencing an untimely death. Ifa further
describes this woman as being the wife of a highly placed person within the group or community.
6. Ifa warns everyone to be cautious of food poisoning this year. Everyone should be careful about what they eat and drink.
Ifa also warns everyone specifically around food and drink that is served hot. Ifa states that before eating such food caution
should be taken and the food should be allowed to cool before ingesting it.
Ifa also advises people to be careful in any gathering or get together where there are foods and drinks being served.
This is because poison may be introduced deliberately or inadvertently during such occasions. Ifa also says that people need
to be aware of the expiration date of any food or drink from cans, containers, wrappers, etc... to avoid becoming sick. Be
very cautious around food and drinks this year.
7. Ifa says that many peoples efforts to do good this year will be misconstrued for evil. Ifa says that all the things
such people are doing are for the good of the community, yet people will feel that they are the ones responsible for the pains
and agony in the community. Ifa however enjoins such people to continue their work in spite of all the tribulations and oppositions
they will experience this year. Ifa says if they continue to do good for the community, they will very very very soon have
their good deeds noticed and recognized.
8. Ifa warns all its devotees to heed warnings and never to take anything for granted. Ifa says that there is the great
need this year to investigate everything properly before dismissing things or people as insignificant. Ifa says that it will
not be favorable for any devotee to be made a victim whom people will see as an example of avoidable disaster. Ifa warns against
stubbornness.
